Surfing at Carolina Beach after lunch (on 8/11) was a challenge...pretty strong rip tides and current had us drifting about a mile in 30 minutes (which gave us long walks back) although we did meet some nice people along the way...and we grabbed a nice shower from someone's beach house...oh well...on to Wrightsville Beach...
